Cody's Story
Cody has non‑speaking autism. For years the world read his silence as absence and moved on. Then he was handed a letter board, and the young man everyone had spoken over began to spell out sentences of his own.

About
Joe serves as Pastor of Adult Education at Highlands Church in Scottsdale, Arizona. Before ministry he spent decades in the courtroom as a litigator defending churches and religious liberty, holding the AV Preeminent® peer rating, the highest in the profession.
For eighteen years he was a senior attorney and Vice President at Alliance Defending Freedom, where he built and trained a national network of more than 3,200 attorneys. He brings the same standard of proof to the pulpit that he brought to the bench.
He is also the author of Capsized: Finding Faith in Sinking Ships. He lives in Arizona with his wife, Valerie.
